AOB Med Spa recently added lashes to our service menu! We've interviewed our Lash Specialist, Lauren Bound, to give you the skinny on our new Lash Program! Lauren is currently accepting appointments at our Cherry Creek location, so call today for your FREE consultation.
There are a variety of different lashes available depending on the thickness, weight, volume, curl and different length you might want. I take into consideration the shape of your eyes and the shape of your brow when doing a consultation to help you select the perfect lashes. Each set of lashes can be customized to the individual getting extensions.
Lashes are semi-permanent. The average client will need to get their lashes refilled every three weeks. At this point a client should have at least 50% of the added lashes on each eye. The lashes that we use are safe and will not break your natural lashes, rather they will enhance your natural beauty. The lashes we use are synthetic mink lashes. These are guaranteed to hold their curl and look fabulous for several weeks! Having an adverse reaction is very rare, but we have a safe and effective way to remove lashes if a client needs removal. We have three different methodsthat we use in order to minimize the need for lash removal.
Of course, you are welcome to continue your regular makeup routine.Any type of eye makeup is fine, however, I suggest using oil free eye makeup to ensure your lashes will stay in tact for a longer time. You should not need to wear any mascara after an eye lash extensions.
You must wait 8 hours from the time of your appointment before getting your lashes wet. Avoid excessive water contact because this will loosen the glue and your lash life may decrease. Avoid saunas, hot tubs and steamy showers to ensure that your lashes will last as long aspossible.
I encourage clients to brush their lashes once in the morning and once at night. This helps to distribute the oils in your lashes evenly. Washing around your lashes when you cleanse your face is very important. I would recommend using a very mild cleanser such as the Beta Cleanse™ by Medik8®. Wash your lashes once at night and then brush through your lashes once again after washing. Again, avoid saunas, steam rooms, and steamy showers to help maintain the integrity of the added lashes.
Lash extensions start at $250 and the price depends on the look that you are trying to achieve. Prior to your appointment, you will receive a free consultation and we can go over the different looks and help you choose the right look for you. We ask that clients return to us with at least 50% of their lashes still in tact. Maintenance on lashes starts around $75.
Volume lashing is my specialty! I customize each treatment to fit the client, keeping their natural eye shape and brow shape in mind as I create an All Over Beautiful look for clients.
Classic lashing is attaching one single synthetic mink lash to each natural lash. Volume lashing is attaching multiple light weight synthetic lashes to each natural lash. This creates a fuller, more dramatic look that cannot be achieved with traditional makeup like mascara or eyeliner. Volume lashes create the illusion that you have three times the number of lashes!
Not all lash specialists are the same. I reserve 2 hours for your first set of lashes to ensure that you are getting a full treatment. I am able to attach a greater number of lashes to your natural lashes and give you a fuller look in each appointment, enhancing your existing beauty.
