However, one of our favorite fillers for treating moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, particularly around the nose and mouth, is Juvéderm®.  Juvéderm® is actually a family of dermal fillers that are designed to provide nine months to one year of correction for wrinkles. It’s composed of hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that’s found in the skin. However, as you age you start to lose HA, causing your skin to lose volume. Juvéderm® works by attracting water molecules to the area being treated while stimulating the production of collagen. It is designed to add immediate volume by holding in water at the injection site. Juvéderm® is easy to mold

Juvéderm® has a smooth gel consistency, compared to some other hyaluronic gel products that have a more granular consistency. It’s easy to mold and is designed to provide smooth, natural results that can last up to one year. However, on the off chance that you don’t like an area that’s been treated with Juvéderm®, it can be easily corrected to help you achieve the results you want.

It works well for both mild and severe folds and wrinkles

While many fillers work well for mild OR severe wrinkles, Juvéderm® can smooth mild as well as severe facial wrinkles instantly. That combined with its smooth gen consistency and natural results makes it a great choice for most patients.

It contains a local anesthetic
